NBA League Pass is free this week
Digital cable TV customers will get a free week of NBA League Pass through Sunday. NBA League Pass will present up to 40 out-of-market telecasts, with some games broadcast in High Definition. Naturally, the NBA wants customers to buy the half-season package for $49.95.

Sports talk pioneer Art Rust Jr. passes away
Before there was all-sports talk WFAN, there was Art Rust Jr. His evening show on WABC radio was the only place to talk sports throughout the early part of the 1980s, before WFAN arrived in 1987.
