The release of the national TV schedules for the National Hockey League should be followed pretty soon by the local broadcasters. In New York, that means MSG Network and MSG Plus and their coverage of the Rangers, Devils and Islanders.
There’s been a healthy dose of hockey specials and classic broadcasts over the summer months, but new shows begin next month.
There will be Rangers preseason specials on MSG on Saturday, Sept. 4, at 11 p.m. and Saturday, Sept. 11, at 9:30 p.m. Hockey Night Live returns Saturday, Sept. 18, and Saturday, Sept. 25, at 9:30 p.m. on both MSG and MSG Plus.
A pair of Rangers-Devils games will be aired on Sept. 23 from the Garden and Sept. 25 from Newark, both at 7 p.m. and both on MSG Network and MSG Plus. The Rangers skate at Detroit on Sept. 26 at 5 p.m., and host the Red Wings on Sept. 29 at 7 p.m., both on MSG Network.
