The Army hockey team will appear on CBS College Sports on Jan. 14 in an Atlantic Hockey game at Air Force. It is the back end of a Friday night doubleheader at 10 p.m., following the Ferris State-Michigan contest.
CBS College will also televise a second Atlantic Hockey contest as newcomer Niagara plays at Rochester Institute of Technology in a Feb. 25 contest with sure playoff implications. As the Atlantic Hockey correspondent for the website Inside College Hockey, I find this to be very exciting news.
CBS College Sports (formerly known as CSTV) is televising college hockey for the eighth consecutive season. The network has signed a multi-year deal to televise Hockey East games, and will also televise the ECAC Final Four to be held in Atlantic City, N.J. Former Middletown sportscaster Eric Frede and Matt Shepard will split play-by-play duties, with Dave Starman as the analyst.
