The Notre Dame football team remains the only college program in the country to have a national radio audience, with a reach clear into the Hudson Valley and New York City.
Once again, Beacon’s WBNR (1260-AM), Poughkeepsie’s WGHQ (920-AM) and Peekskill’s WLNA (1420-AM) will air Fighting Irish games, as well as New York’s WBBR (1130-AM). In nearby Scranton, WEJL (630-AM and 96.1-FM) will air the games, as will WBAX (1240-AM) in Wilkes-Barre.
Powerful nighttime signals can be found on Cleveland’s WTAM (1100-AM, partial schedule) and Chicago’s WLS (890-AM).
The games can be heard in the rest of New York state on Albany’s WJIV (101.9-FM), Elmira’s WELM (1410-AM, partial), Ithaca’s WPIE (1160-AM, partial), Olean’s WQRS (98.3-FM) and Utica-Rome’s WJIV (99.1-FM).
Don Criqui and Allen Pinkett will be the announcers once again.
