Time Warner won’t be televising high school football locally

A spokesman for Time Warner said the cable company has no plans to air any Section 9 high school football games on its local channels this season.
The Cable 6 Game of the Week was a staple on the Middletown cable provider for many years. Last year, a pair of late-season contests were aired after Time Warner did away with Cable 6 and instituted YNN (Your News Now), the 24-hour local news service.
