NHL playoff coverage will be extensive

The NHL playoffs get underway Wednesday night with two games on NBC Sports Network and one on business channel CNBC. There will be four more games on Thursday, with the Rangers opening their run on MSG Network and the Devils opening Friday on MSG Plus.
All Rangers playoff games will open with an hour-long pregame show hosted by Al Trautwig and reports from John Giannone. An hour-long post-game show will follow each telecast, with analysis from Ron Duguay and Mike Keenan.
All Devils playoff games will open with a 30-minute pregame show hosted by Deb Placey and Ken Daneyko, with reports from Stan Fischler. An hour-long post-game show follows every telecast.
NBC’s coverage will open each night (generally at 6:30 p.m.) with “NHL Live” on NBC Sports Network. “NHL Live” will also air between games and following the last game.
NHL Network will provide its usual game-night coverage with “NHL Live” from 5-7 p.m., “NHL On the Fly” from 7-10 p.m. and “NHL Tonight” starting at 10 p.m.

By the way, if an early telecast on NBC Sports Network runs late due to overtime, the start of the second telecast will be seen on NHL Network. On-screen tickers will tell fans where to go.
