Two soccer channels bound for U.S. from Al Jazeera

A pair of new sports channels, from Al Jazeera network, will begin telecasting in the United States as of August. 1. The channels, beIN Sports 1 and beIN Sports 2, will feature world-class soccer.
Al Jazeera recently won the bidding rights for the famed Serie A league in Italy, plus La Liga in Spain and Ligue 1 in France.
As of now, the network has not announced what two carriage deals have been struck with cable or satellite companies. Fans of those leagues may have to turn to a dish provider.
The beIN Sports channels will also carry some South American soccer, including that continent’s World Cup qualifiers.
