Anaheim Angels to air on local radio

The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim (or the Anaheim Angels, as I refer to them) have a new nationally syndicated package of games broadcast by Compass Media Networks. Local radio stations WALL (1340-AM) in Middletown and WEOK (1390-AM) in Poughkeepsie will air most of the 25 games, and WFAN (660-AM) in New York will air a handful, including June 11 against the Dodgers.
Sister stations WINE (940-AM) in Danbury and WPUT (1510-AM) in Brewster — a pair of ESPN Radio affiliates — will carry the entire Angels package.
Three Angels games with the Yankees (including tonight’s debut of the network) will not be carried on WALL/WEOK since fellow Cumulus stations WZAD and WKXP already carry the Yankees radio network.
WFAN is the flagship of the Mets radio network so the Angels would appear only on nights when there are no conflicts. A WFAN spokesman said future Angels dates (beyond June 11) have not been set as of yet. Barring any rain-out changes, the only available dates on WFAN would be Aug. 13, 23 and 30.
Compass Media also has national syndication deals with the Dallas Cowboys and Oakland Raiders of the National Football League.
