For the first time in the history of the Hudson Valley Renegades, the team will not have a radio partner. From 1994 to 2011, the New York-Penn League team has had its game broadcast on Beacon radio station WBNR (1260-AM), and in recent years also on sister stations WLNA (1420-AM) in Peekskill and WGHQ (920-AM) in Poughkeepsie.
Play-by-play of the games can be heard on the team’s website (HVRenegades.com) and through the Minor League Baseball (MiLB.com) website.
Pamal Broadcasting, the owner of WBNR, has done away with its sports programming bit by bit in recent years. The company was the long-time home of Army sports, even carrying the football games when it was no longer the flagship station. An experiment to carry Mount Saint Mary College men’s and women’s basketball was short-lived. The company carried Fox Sports Radio on evenings and weekends but dropped that programming, in addition to Notre Dame football.
