Fox Soccer Channel will televise 21 college matches this fall (13 men, eight women) in cooperation with the National Soccer Coaches Association of America. A total of 15 conferences will be featured.
Ema Boateng, the 2011-12 Gatorade national boys’ soccer high school player of the year, will be featured on Sept. 21 when his California-Santa Barbara team faced UCLA anda again Oct. 19 against Cal Poly.
Outstanding collegiate player Dillon Serna of Akron faces St. John’s on Sept. 14. In a women’s match, high-scoring Texas A&M, the top-rated offense last season, plays Long Beach State on Sept. 7.
Notably absent are the Army-Navy matches, which have been a schedule staple in recent seasons.
