Fox Soccer to televise 21 college matches

Fox Soccer Channel will televise 21 college matches this fall (13 men, eight women) in cooperation with the National Soccer Coaches Association of America. A total of 15 conferences will be featured.
Ema Boateng, the 2011-12 Gatorade national boys’ soccer high school player of the year, will be featured on Sept. 21 when his California-Santa Barbara team faced UCLA anda again Oct. 19 against Cal Poly.
Outstanding collegiate player Dillon Serna of Akron faces St. John’s on Sept. 14. In a women’s match, high-scoring Texas A&M, the top-rated offense last season, plays Long Beach State on Sept. 7.
Notably absent are the Army-Navy matches, which have been a schedule staple in recent seasons.

Aug. 18: Chivas Under-23 (Guadalajara) at Indiana, 7 p.m.
Aug. 24: Michigan at South Florida, 7 p.m.
Sept. 7: Washington at Connecticut, 7 p.m.
Sept. 14: St. John’s at Akron, 7 p.m.
Sept. 21: Virginia at North Carolina, 7 p.m.; UCLA at Cal Santa Barbara, 9 p.m.
Sept. 28: George Mason at Old Dominion, 7 p.m.
Oct. 5: Virginia at Maryland, 7 p.m.
Oct. 13: St. John’s at Louisville, 7 p.m.
Oct. 19: Cal Poly at Cal Santa Barbara, 11 p.m.
Oct. 26: Portland at Santa Clara, 10 p.m.
Nov. 2: Southern Methodist at Memphis, 8 p.m.
Nov. 9: Brown at Dartmouth, 7 p.m.

Women’s schedule
Aug. 23: Boston University at Dayton, 7 p.m.
Sept. 6: Texas at Brigham Young, 9 p.m.
Sept. 7: Long Beach State at Texas A&M, delay at 9 p.m.
Oct. 11: Rice at Memphis, 8 p.m.
Oct. 18: Oklahoma at West Virginia, 7 p.m.
Oct. 26: Oklahoma State at Texas Tech, 8 p.m.
Nov. 1: Yale at Brown, 7 p.m.
