TBS and ESPN Radio have made its broadcast team determinations for the Major League Baseball playoffs.
Monday night’s AL playoff for the final wild-card, pitting Tampa Bay at Texas at 8 p.m., will have Brian Anderson, analysts Joe Simpson and John Smoltz and reporter David Aldridge.
The National League wild-card playoff, with the Cincinnati Reds visiting the Pittsburgh Pirates, will be at 8 p.m. Tuesday. Ernie Johnson, analysts Ron Darling and Cal Ripken and reporter Craig Sager have the call for TBS. Dan Shulman and Orel Hershiser will announce for ESPN Radio.
The AL wild-card playoff will be at 8 p.m. Wednesday with the winner of the Rays-Rangers game visiting the Cleveland Indians. Anderson will be joined by Smoltz, Simpson and reporter Rachel Nichols. Jon Sciambi and Chris Singleton have the call for ESPN Radio.
Keith Olbermann will host the TBS studio show with Pedro Martinez, Tom Verducci and Dirk Hayhurst. From Tuesday through Thursday, the studio team will be joined by Mark DeRosa of the Blue Jays.
For the division series starting Thursday, Johnson, Darling, Ripken and Sager will call the Los Angeles Dodgers-Atlanta Braves series for TBS and Shulman and Hershiser for ESPN Radio; Anderson, Simpson, Smoltz and Nichols will call the AL wild-card vs. Boston Red Sox series for TBS with Sciambi and Singleton on ESPN Radio; Dick Stockton, Bob Brenly and Matt Winer will call the NL wild-card vs. St. Louis Cardinals series for TBS and Dave Flemming and Rick Sutcliffe have the call for ESPN Radio; and, Don Orsillo, Dennis Eckersley, Buck Martinez and David Aldridge will call the Detroit Tigers vs. Oakland Athletics series for TBS while Michael Kay and Aaron Boone have the call for ESPN Radio.
For the championship series on ESPN Radio, Shulman and Hershiser have the NLCS and Sciambi and Singleton call the ALCS.
