Dolson draws just one national TV broadcast

Fans of former Minisink Valley and UConn basketball standout Stefanie Dolson will have to work a bit harder to find televised games for the newest acquisition of the Chicago Sky.
The ESPN schedule of 16 regular-season games has just one Chicago game – July 18 at Seattle, 9 p.m. (ESPN2).
The Chicago Sky website lists a June 6 game at Los Angeles (10 p.m.) for ESPN2 but the ESPN press release does not include that contest.
There’s the likelihood of two Chicago games against the New York Liberty at Madison Square Garden will be televised on MSG Networks on July 14 and Aug. 27, and the possibility MSG could pick up the Liberty game at Chicago on July 30. MSG Networks will release its Liberty TV schedule soon.
NBA TV will be announcing its WNBA broadcast schedule at a later time. Last season web service ESPN3 also carried exclusive WNBA games. The WNBA offers a subscription web package as well.
Dolson was part of the blockbuster WNBA trade that sent Elena Delle Donne to the Washington Mystics. Last season, in Dolson’s second WNBA season, she averaged 9.3 points, 4.7 rebounds and 22.5 minutes per contest for Washington.
Dolson returns to the area next week when the Sky play Connecticut Sun (May 2, 6 p.m.) and New York Liberty (May 3, 4 p.m.) at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn.
