Premier League season debuts on NBC networks

The English Premier League – recognized as perhaps the best national league in the world, and certainly the most popular – gets underway on Friday. The NBC Sports networks will provide extensive coverage for a fifth season in a row, although the telecast plans have changed a bit.
The majority of contests will be aired on NBC Sports Network (Spectrum cable Ch. 81, 314), notably on Saturday mornings at 7:30 a.m. and 10 a.m., and Sunday mornings, generally at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. There will be occasional Friday and Monday afternoon games at 3 p.m.
The business channel CNBC (Spectrum 31, 205) will often show Saturday 10 a.m. matches and select Sunday morning matches.
NBC (Spectrum Ch. 4) will show a number of Saturday contests at 12:30 p.m.
In recent years, Time Warner cable (now Spectrum) presented the remaining games (up to five in a the 10 a.m. time slot) on its overflow channels named Premier League Extra Time and webcast those matches on the NBC Sports app for customers who had subscriptions to NBC Sports Network. That plan has been scrapped this season in favor of bulking up its NBC Sports Gold offering, a web service that provides subscription-based coverage for sports such as cycling, rugby and track and field. For $50, fans can watch all non-cable airings of approximately 130 Premier League matches.
The matches that air on NBC, NBCSN and CNBC will be streamed on NBCsports.com and the NBC Sports app; the NBC Sports Gold matches will not.

Spanish-speaking audiences will have 220 live matches broadcast on Telemundo (Spectrum Ch. 61, 803) and Universo (Spectrum Ch. 898) and, webstreamed on TelemundoDeportes.com and wireless on the Telemundo Deportes En Vivo app (Telemundo Sports live).
Telemundo Deportes will present 140 live matches that will air on Telemundo and Universo (formerly named NBC Universo and previously known as mun2). The websiteTelemundoDeportes.com will have 80 exclusive matches.
