My Idol thoughts:
1. Adam: Fantastic once again. Should be safe.
2. Allison. I fear for her. She’s charting in sage territory, and that’s hurting her. And I can see why they want more out of her. She’s dynamic, and for 17, she’s very marketable. But she’s just too shy on stage to show it. This was too safe.
3. Kris
Hate when people cover Beatles, and this was too similar to the intended way, but he at least brought some sexy soul into it. But he’ll be bottom two.
4. Danny
All over the place, though the glory note was weirdly great. Not his right forte, and it really shows that Danny is more a one-trick pony than we think. For all the talk Simon gives Allison about confidence, where’s the beef for Danny? He’ll be safe cause middle America wants him.
The duets were OK. Hated Kris and Danny doing “Renegade.” Liked Adam and Allison doing “Slow Ride.” The rockers truly shined.
