NBC, in all it’s brilliant glory, has decided to cancel “Southland” before it even began this fall. Sometimes I just shake my head, take a deep breath and count to ten. Why do TV executives make things so much more complicated than they have to be?
“Southland” was one of those shows I [...]

Another good episode of “Southland” this week. The Cooper stuff is always riveting. There is always something so magically when the right actor finds that perfect part. I can’t wait to see what happens each week. The Thursday 10pm slot has become a real treat!
The Janila storyline is also one of [...]

“Southland” has these wonderful moments of woebegone comedy that are brilliant. Case in point, Det. Adams being propositioned by Stanley the flasher in two very different ways. First in a very crude yet compulsive way and then in this sweet but weird way later. It’s sad and funny all at the same [...]

I came home late, but caught the end of “30 Rock.” I came in during the Indigo Girls joke and felt like I knew the story instantly. Pretty funny episode from what I saw.
Became immersed with “Southland” from the opening bell. Gritty, real, quick and doesn’t force the heartstrings. Refreshing change of pace for a [...]

This week brought us the second episode on NBC new cop drama “Southland”. Amazingly, NBC has again struck gold in their 10pm slot on Thursdays. “Southland” has a raw edge to it’s storytelling as well as it’s camera work.
The casting is superb. Michael Cudlitz’s John Cooper is a great combination of seen-it-all-hard [...]
