The Village of Walden sent out notice for a special meeting to discuss land acquisitions Tuesday but then rescheduled for Sept. 1.

Local artists design Quad poster
Two local artists designed the new New Netherland Museum Hudson Quadricentennial poster.
Photographer/designer James Douglas and illustrator Mike Jaroszko came up with the poster, which features an antique-style map of the Hudson River Valley and the ship Half Moon, which Hudson sailed into the river 400 years ago. Proceeds from the poster benefit the museum.

Montgomery residents sail with Seeger
Montgomery resident Alice Dickinson sailed across the Hudson River with famed folk singer Pete Seeger Friday on one of three U.S. Naval Academy’s “Navy 44’s.” Dickinson, Chuck Thomas and Rob Atherton were the only civilians on the boat with Seeger.
