Wallkill to decide on new town justice tonight
Wallkill Supervisor John Ward says the town board will vote on a replacement for town Justice Bonnie Kraham at tonight’s board meeting.

More info on Minisink Valley teacher layoffs
Here’s my story on the Minisink Valley teacher layoffs. I’ve gotten a few phone calls from people this morning who’ve expressed some confusion over the total number of layoffs. If you read my story through, you’ll see that the teaching position cuts (31) and the teacher’s aide layoffs (24) clearly described as two separate events.

Breakdown of Minisink Valley teacher’s aide layoffs
As I reported here, Minisink Valley will lay off 24 full-time teacher’s aides at the end of the school year. Here’s the breakdown by school, according to Linda Horan, president of the non-teacher employee’s union in the district:

A family affair at Wallkill court?

Minsink Valley superintendent search down to five
