Props to Brock

Say what you want about Stan Brock, but the man is showing he can recruit.

Army’s coach got a commitment from quarterback Paul McIntosh, Mr.
Football in Indiana, recently. Brock stole McIntosh, a three-star
recruit according to Scout.com, from Ball State.

According to Scout.com, Brock has also received commitments from
two-star quarterback recruits Max Jenkins of Langham Creek High School
in Houston, Josh Jones of Lee High School in Baytow, Texas and
Demetrius Richardson of Cherokee High School in Marlton, N.J.

Two-star (out of five) recruits are rare at West Point.

Seems like Brock has put an emphasis on a major need at quarterback in
the recruiting period. Depending on what offense Army decides to run,
the spring depth chart at quarterback will be thin with junior Carson
Williams and freshman Chip Bowden taking most of the reps. Williams
started the last 10 games. Bowden didn’t take a snap.

Now Brock and his staff needs to shift their attention to the offensive
line, which had a major problem run-blocking in 2007. The line will
return tackle Mike Lemming and guard/tackle Brandon Cox, both juniors
who started every game, and Mike Weich, a freshman who started three
games at right guard.
