Spring game
Get your tailgates going early, the Army spring game on Saturday, April 19 will start at 11 a.m.
I hear the defense will scrimmage the defense keeping Army’s “secret” offense safe. Just kidding.
On the offense, I have little doubt it was be somewhat option-based. That’s a little vague, isn’t it.
One major question is who is going to run the offense. I threw out the name of junior running back Carlo Sandiego to coach Stan Brock recently as a quarterback candidate. Sandiego ran option at prep school. But Brock didn’t bite. I was reaching. I think Sandiego might be not have the size to run the option. Army lists Sandiego at 5-foot-6 – a little bit of a stretch – and 176 pounds.
