It’s official: Tolson signs with Giants

The Giants officially announced the signing of Army punter Owen Tolson to a free-agent contract Thursday.

Tolson will participate in rookie and first-year player mini-camp, starting Friday.

Tolson had 181 punts in three seasons.  He averaged 42.6 yards per
punt. He also made eight of 15 field goals for Army in 2007.

Tolson won’t be the only punter in camp. Brian Monroe of Miami (Fla.) has a try out.
