Army coach Rich Ellerson said sophomore quarterback Trent Steelman is his starter for Saturday’s home game against North Texas.
Steelman hurt his left (non-throwing) shoulder in the third quarter of a 31-28 loss to Hawaii last Saturday and didn’t return.
“The good news is all the diagnostic stuff came back and it’s relatively positive,” Ellerson said. “The worst case scenario is that we avoid it again. He is going to be sore but he’s not injured. As physically tough as he is, we think we’ll be fine.”
Steelman has started all 14 games since he stepped foot at West Point.
