Oct. 26 practice blog

Sophomore cornerback/returner Josh Jackson (ankle) fielded a punt and ran at a little better than half speed. Jackson was also working with the cornerbacks.  He walked into practice a little gingerly but once he got started it looked like he might be able to play Saturday.

Freshman Matt Luetjen was working with the safeties. Luetjen was Army’s fourth quarterback the last few games.  Coaches believe Luetjen’s fastest track to the field may be on defense. Starting quarterback Trent Steelman is only a sophomore. Max Jenkins, his backup, is a junior. Army will graduate its top three safeties – Donovan Travis, Donnie Dixon and Jordan Trimble.

Sophomore slotback Malcolm Brown didn’t practice. Click here for an update. Didn’t see starting center Zach Peterson early on in practice. Senior Tom Hagan and sophomore Will Wilson were getting the reps at center.
