Ellerson teeing it up for a good cause

Army’s Rich Ellerson will be one of the college football coaches playing in the inaugural New York Yankees/New Era Pinstripe Bowl Charity Golf Tournament on May 9 at Forsgate Country Club in Monroe, N.J.

The event is hosted by the New York Yankees Foundation. Net proceeds for the event will benefit the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Pediatric Cancer Center, Public Schools League, Tourette Syndrome Association of Central New Jersey and the Boomer Esiason Foundation Fighting Fibrosis.

Among the other sports personalities playing in the tournament are Jets coach Rex Ryan, Notre Dame football coach Brian Kelly, Rutgers football coach Greg Schiano, Syracuse football coach Doug Marrone, Yankees general manager Brian Cashman and former Yankees manager Joe Torre.
