Recruiting: Son of former Army RB visits

Calvin Cass, Jr., the son of  former Army running back Calvin Cass, was one  of a group of recruits, who visited West Point this weekend.

Cass, a senior at St. Augustine Prep in Sicklerville, N.J.,  was in attendance Saturday for the Northern Illinois game less than 24 hours after rushing for 252 yards and four touchdowns against Lower Cape May (N.J.). He broke off an 86-yard touchdown run in that game.

Cass, who is 5-foot-8 and 192 pounds, ran for 153 yards and two touchdowns and caught a touchdown pass in St. Augustine’s opener on Sept. 7. He rushed for 336 yards in a game last season.

Calvin Cass, Sr. ranks 21st (1,546 yards) on Army’s all-time rushing list. Cass, a 1990 West Point graduate, scored 14 touchdowns in his career.

Bruton (Va.) linebacker Scott Frazier also visited.
