Steelman also scored his first Independent offensive player of the week award of the season Monday. He rushed for 141 yards and three touchdowns against Boston College.
The senior passed Troy Crawford on Army’s all-time list for rushing touchdowns (36) by a quarterback Saturday. Steelman also has an academy, quarterback-record 2,503 rushing yards.
Steelman’s 36 touchdowns ranked third in academy history behind Glenn Davis (43) and Mike Mayweather (37).
Steelman’s 141 yards were his second-highest total. He ran for 157 yards against San Diego State last year.
