Army senior quarterback Trent Steelman’s career isn’t over just yet.
Steelman has accepted an invitation to play in the East-West Shrine Game on Jan. 19 at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Fla.
Tyson Steelman said his brother will play slot receiver and some running back for the East team.
Leeman Bennett and Jerry Glanville will coach the teams.
Steelman broke 1946 Heisman Trophy winner Glenn Davis’ academy career rushing touchdown record (45) this season. Steelman’s 17 rushing touchdowns tied an Army record. He leaves West Point with quarterback records in rushing yards in a season (1,248) and career (3,320).
The game will kick off at 4 p.m. and will be televised on NFL Network.
