Lafayette (Mo.) defensive end John Voit has verbally committed to Army, according to Nate Latsch of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
Voit, who is 6-foot-3 and 220 pounds, had 108 tackles, 26 for a loss, and eight sacks for Lafayette, which went 12-1. He will play at Army Prep in the fall.
Goblackknights.com reported that Panther Valley (Pa.) running back Richie Smith gave Army his verbal commitment on Wednesday.
Army also received a verbal from Terre Haute (Ind.) North linebacker Lee Davis on Jan. 9. Davis, who is top thrower, will also compete for Army’s track team.
The Black Knights commitment total is now up to 11 players. Defensive tackle Noah Allen, running back Nehemiah Brown, wide receiver Billy East, DE Luke Fetla, tackle Patrick Joseph, defensive end Andrew McLean, tackle Joe Tustin and linebacker Scott Washle had previously committed.
