Army starting running back Raymond Maples will miss spring practice after recent ankle surgery.
Maples has rushed for 1,000 yards the last two seasons.
Other players who will miss spring practice, which starts Tuesday, are: sophomore cornerback Marques Avery (shoulder); freshman defensive tackle Evan Finnane; freshman running back Ja’Quail Haskins; junior defensive tackle Clayton Keller; junior tackle Momo Kime (knee), sophomore linebacker Alex Meier (knee); sophomore safety Hayden Pierce; sophomore running back Lawrence Scott; junior linebacker Corey Watts (shoulder) and junior wide receiver Scott Williams and junior linebacker Zach Williams.
Avery, Kime, Meier and Pierce were starters last season.
