Army West Point football

So, it’s Army West Point football.

Not Army football or West Point football.

The academy’s athletic department revealed its new name and logo at a rebranding event Monday night at Eisenhower Hall.

The academy’s nickname will remain Black Knights with Cadets used as a secondary reference.

Athletes from some of the academy’s 28 sports showed off the new uniforms with the new Athena Shield logo.

Junior cornerback Chris Carnegie, junior fullback Matt Giachinta, sophomore cornerback Josh Jenkins and junior quarterback A.J. Schurr represented the football team.

Junior guards Kyle Wilson and Dylan Cox represented the football team.

Senior John Glesener and Al DeStefano represented the lacrosse team.
