Recruiting: Two Florida commits in one day

Army made some recruiting waves in the Sunshine State Tuesday, picking up two commits.

Plant linebacker Joe Ryan and Chaminade-Madonna safety Justin Thomas Jr. are the latest members of Army’s 2016 recruiting class.

Ryan made a state-high 52 tackles for a loss in 2014.

Thomas, an all-Broward County first-team pick, is a ballhawk. He had 70 tackles, four fumble recoveries, two forced fumbles and two sacks.

Four of Army’s 14 commits are from Florida.
