Army Prep suffers first loss to Lackawanna

DeAngelo Amos picked off Lackawanna quarterback Andrew Ford and returned the interception 42 yards for a touchdown on the game’s fourth play.

Army Prep built a 20-19 halftime lead but couldn’t hold on in a 49-36 loss Sunday in Scranton, Pa.

Dario Highsmith threw a 21-yard touchdown pass to Chris Schilling in the first quarter and Kelvin Hopkins connected with Michon Sobers on a 35-yard pass in the fourth quarter for Army PrepĀ  (2-1).

Army Prep’s Tank Scott blocked a punt and returned it 26 yards for a touchdown, Vinny Labus added a 7-yard run and Zach Potter kicked a 47-yard field goal.

On defense, linebacker Donavan Lynch had 12 tackles, four for a loss, and a sack and cornerback Jaylon McClinton added 10 tackles.
