Army adds Corley to staff

Army has tabbed former UConn assistant David Corley as its new wide receiver coach.

Corley worked with UConn’s running backs in 2014 and 2016 and was the Huskies’ receivers coach in 2015 under Bob Diaco. He was promoted by Diaco to UConn’s offensive coordinator for the final three games of the 2016 season. Army played UConn in 2014 and 2015.

Diaco was fired on Dec. 26, 2016 and Corley wasn’t retained by returning head coach Randy Edsall.

Corley, a former quarterback at William & Mary, played in the Canadian Football League for two seasons (2003, 2006) and was a member of the New York Dragons of the Arena Football League in 2005. He coached at his alma mater from 2008-13 before taking the UConn job.
