Offense breakdown: UTEP

Junior left tackle Rick Kurz was the only offensive player to take all 57 snaps in Army’s 35-21 win over UTEP Saturday.

Andy Davidson rushed 14 times for 100 yards on 24 snaps.

Army didn’t score in the first quarter for the third straight game. The Black Knights have only seven first-quarter points in four games against Division I-A opponents.

Jermaine Adams’ 14-yard catch in the third quarter was Army’s first reception by a wide receiver this season. Credit Dean Darling, Army radio analyst for that stat.

Offensive coordinator Brent Davis spread out Army’s offense, running about 26 plays from the traditional triple-option set. Army lined up a slotback as a slot receiver on about 20 plays. The Black Knights operated out of the shotgun seven times.

Tackles Brett Toth and Kurz sealed off the inside on Army’s first touchdown, a 32-yard run by Andy Davidson.

Milestones: Senior quarterback Ahmad Bradshaw moves to 16th (1,824) on Army’s all-time rushing list. Junior fullback Andy Davidson recorded his seventh 100-yard game, tied for 11th in academy history. Davidson’s 1,268 rushing yards rank 40th all-time at Army.
