Coaching staff update: Army hires Edwards, Krysl

Army has recently added wide receivers coach Marcus Edwards and special teams coordinator Mike Krysl to complete its coaching staff.

Edwards spent the last three seasons as Stony Brook’s wide receivers coach. He also coached wide receivers at Bowling Green (2012-13) and Wagner (2009-11, 2014). Edwards replaces David Corley, who left West Point to become Penn State’s running backs coach.

Krysl was the special teams coordinator at Samford last season.

Sean Saturnio coached Army special teams the last two seasons. Army’s updated roster has Saturnio as the team’s tight ends coach.

Army has also changed the roles of Justin Weaver and Aairon Savage. Weaver moves from director of on-campus recruiting to defensive quality control coach. Savage, Army’s defensive quality control coach in 2017, is now the team’s director of high school relations.
