Watch lists: Darnell Woolfolk (Walter Camp), James Nachtigal (Nagurski), Kell Walker (Hornung)

Darnell Woolfolk received national recognition for the second time this month when the senior fullback was named to the Walter Camp Football Foundation player of the year watch list Friday.

Woolfolk, who is also on the Maxwell Award watch list, rushed for 812 yards and scored touchdowns in nine of his 10 games in 2017. Army’s co-captain was one of 50 players to make the Walter Camp list, which included Navy quarterback junior quarterback Malcolm Perry.

Senior linebacker James Nachtigal was named to Bronko Nagurski Trophy list Tuesday. Nachtigal broke into the starting lineup in the fourth game of 2017 and led the team with 103 tackles. He was second on the team with eight tackles for loss and third on the team with five sacks.

Junior running back Kell Walker was one of 43 players on the Paul Hornung Award watch list Thursday. The award is given to college football’s most versatile player. Walker rushed for 629 yards and six touchdowns and was Army’s leading receiver in 2017. He is expected to see snaps at quarterback this fall.
