Coaching staff update: Army adding Matt Hachmann, Kevin Lewis

Stony Brook linebackers coach Matt Hachmann and William & Mary defensive line coach Kevin Lewis are joining Army’s staff.

Hachmann, a former Towson defensive coordinator, spent the last two seasons at Stony Brook. He coached linebackers for eight seasons (2001-09) under current Army defensive coordinator John Loose at Lafayette. Hachmann’s career includes time at Oklahoma, Northwestern and Maryland.

Lewis comes to West Point after five seasons at William & Mary. He has strong ties to Virginia, an area that Army recruited well under departing defensive coordinator Jay Bateman. Lewis, a 2005 Virginia Tech graduate, was a three-year starter for the Hokies and played in four bowl games.
